Conferences & Seminars held so far
Since its inception the Indian Buildings Congress has been organising Seminars on subjects of topical interests, one to coincide with the Annual Convention and the other on the occasion of mid-term session. It also publishes quarterly magazine “IBC News” and a monthly bulletin “IBC Samachar”. It has also instituted awards for the best papers presented in the Seminars and items relating to excellence in built environment. The first Seminar on the theme `Buildings in National Development’ was held at New Delhi on October 4-5, 1994. Since then, fifteen more Annual Conventions along with National Seminars at Delhi and fifteen Midterm Seminars outside Delhi i.e. at Jaipur, Roorkee, Chandigarh, Pune, Chennai Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Raipur & Pondicherry have been organised. All the Seminars had topical Themes.

Technical Committee
IBC has set up a number of Technical Committees to deal with different aspects of built environment and Construction Industry and to make recommendations on related subjects.
IBC Journal
Indian Buildings Congress publishes two volumes of IBC Journal in a year
which are supplied to members free of charge.
IBC News
Indian Buildings Congress brings out a quarterly Magazine called "IBC
News". Members of Indian Buildings Congress can send their views and
articles of common interest on subject connected with built environment
for publishing in this magazine. IBC News is also mailed to members free
of charge.
IBC Samachar
Indian Buildings Congress publishes a monthly Newsletter ‘IBC Samachar’ in
the last week of each month. The publication consists of four pages. The
first three pages are devoted exclusively for giving latest news and
innovations in and outside the country in the Construction field. The
last page is used for giving Vital Information about one of the
Institutional Members of IBC.
IBC Awards
Indian Buildings Congress has instituted following awards.

Awards for best papers presented during IBC Seminars. 3 Medals and 2 Commendation Certificates are awarded to papers selected out of entries received for each seminar organised by IBC. Awards for best papers presented by young professionals and lady professionals are also given exclusively.

Awards for excellence in Built Environment.
One award for each of the following categories.
(i) Housing Complexes.
(ii) Institutional/Commercial/Office/Recreational Complexes.
(iii) Individual Residential units.
(iv) Industrial Structures.
(v) Rehabilitation/Retrofitting of Building and Buildings in Disaster Prone Areas.
(vi) Innovation in Design, Materials and Technologies for Buildings & Services.
Each award carries a Trophy and a citation. In addition, commendation certificates are given to entries which merit recognition. Awards are presented on the occasion of Annual Conventions.
